Dusseldorf'

Edinburgh,

Isipingo …

THESE are the international jet-setters. Breakfast in Rome, lunch in Paris, dinner in London – baggage in Singapore. But it gets worse. British Airways have just had to apologise after a flight from London to Dusseldorf, in Germany, landed in Edinburgh by mistake.

It happened after a sub-contracted crew used an incorrect flight plan and set off from London City airport for the Scottish capital instead of setting course for the Rhine.

British Airways said the aircraft – a 96-seat BAe-146 regional jet – was operated by German charter firm WDL Aviation on behalf of BA CityFlyer. The crew and aircraft were sub-contracted from WDL under an arrangement known as a "wet lease".

"We are working with WDL Aviation, who operated this flight on behalf of British Airways, to establish why the incorrect flight plan was filed," BA said.

"We have apologised to customers for this interruption to their journey and will be contacting them all individually."

Where to next? Does Isipingo have an airport? Watch this space!

THE Ticketpro Dome, in Johannesburg, is the place to be this coming May, where a gathering known as the My Future 4.0 Summit  will discuss coding, gaming, virtual reality, 3D printing, nanotech, artificial intelligence, robotics and digital design.

According to the handout, the highlight will be the unique opportunity to spend time with expo brand ambassador, Pepper – South Africa's first humanoid robot, who will be available for a chat or a selfie.

Book now with British Airways, via Dusseldorf and Edinburgh.

Bending Brexit

BREXIT news. Uri Geller, the showbiz fellow who bends spoons and things on stage using telekinetic energy, has vowed to "telepathically" stop Brexit.

In an open letter addressed to British prime minister Theresa May, he says he admires her but feels  "physically and very strongly" that most Britons are against Britain's withdrawal from the EU, according to Sky News..

"I love you very much but I will not allow you to lead Britain into Brexit. As much as I admire you, I will stop you telepathically from doing this - and believe me I am capable of executing it."

Geller told her his power has been "validated" by the CIA, MI5 and Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad.

Are Theresa May's spoons bending? Hier kom 'n ding!

Cheesy

A MEXICAN artist is coming to the assistance of Donald Trump. He plans to start building a 400m wall of cheese, along part of the US-Mexican border. .

Cosimo Cavallaro specialises in works made from cheese, according to Huffington Post. He says his giant cheese wall will be built at Tecate, California, 10m from the real border.

He will start next week with 200 blocks of Cotija, a hard Mexican cheese, and figures he will need another 8 800 blocks to complete his project.

Kindness

DURBAN poet Sarita Mathur appeals to us to just follow our nature and all will be well.

We're Human.

Humankind.

We're wired to be kind.

To others ,

And ourselves as well .

We're individual,

Complete within ourselves,

Knowing wrong from right .

Let's make the future bright.

For Humankind.

We're human beings ,

We're wired to be kind.

Tailpiece

"WHAT you got there, Paddy?"

"A thermos flask, It keeps hot tings hot and cold tings cold."

"What's in there?"

"Two cups of coffee and a choc ice."

Last word

There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

Henry Kissinger
